“It has been an honor and privilege to have been your Sheriff for almost 20 years. I thank you for the trust that you placed in me.
I feel the Office of the Sheriff is one of the most important Offices in this County. This Office is responsible for the highest budget nearly five million dollars. This Office deals with the lives of people every minute of every day, whether assisting a motorist or investigating a major violent crime such as rape, robbery or murder.

As a citizen of Lamar County, you want the most honest, qualified, experienced and dedicated person to conduct the daily operations of the Sheriff’s Office. Furthermore, you want that person to be qualified to investigate all crimes that might happen to you or your loved ones.

Scott Cass is that person. Scott’s many qualifications include a Master Peace Officer license, attended the FBI NA Academy in Quantico, Va,
coupled with thousands of hours of law enforcement training, along with supervising the largest department in the County. He has dedicated nineteen and a half years of loyal service to you. It is important to put the right person into the Office of Sheriff and I am proud to endorse Scott Cass to be your next Lamar County Sheriff.”
