I have had the pleasure of working with Scott Cass as a fellow law enforcement officer for almost 20 years. During that time, because of my affiliation with Paris Junior College as an Adjunct Instructor, I have also worked with him extensively because of his quest to provide quality training for the persons that work for him at the Lamar County Sheriff's Office. Scott is so very knowledgeable about the entire county and the people that live there. This is one of the many things that makes him such a great asset to the citizens of Lamar County. In addition, his extensive knowledge of the law allows him to work well with other departments and prosecutors to keep criminals off the streets and behind bars. His heart has always been with faith, family, and the people of Lamar County. I know he will continue to serve everyone as your new Sheriff, just as he has done in the past as your Chief Deputy, with great enthusiasm and a quest for justice for all the citizens of Lamar County.
