For many years it has been my pleasure to have been associated with Lamar County Chief Deputy Sheriff Scott Cass both as a personal friend and as a fellow community servant. Rest assured that Scott has the finest qualities of a law enforcement officer for the State of Texas and we are extremely fortunate to have him here in Lamar County. He and the other Sheriff’s Department Deputies under his watch have worked very well together to maintain a high level of safety and security for the people of our community. I recently was a personal
witness to some of the great work Scott and his team are capable of when individuals who had vandalized a local church were apprehended in less than 48 hours after the crime was committed and reported. That’s getting the job done right and I commend them all for what they do to protect the public they so selfishly serve. Scott is a fair and just leader as well as a faithful and diligent servant to this community.

I have worked alongside Scott on many projects for charitable organizations in our community – United Way, Boy Scouts, Children’s Advocacy Center, CASA for Kids and many others. I can truthfully say that Scott is very passionate about his dedicated service to others throughout Lamar County and beyond and demonstrates through his volunteer efforts that he is a devoted advocate for making this a better community. His countless hours he spends working with our youth – the future of our Lamar County – is a testament to the faith
he has that hard work and dedication will yield successful results. It is for all of these reasons and more that I place my trust in one of God’s humble servants – Mr. Scott Cass – for being my choice to further serve the people of Paris and Lamar County as our Sheriff. I encourage you to join with me in that commitment.
